Robert Kluka ... The Hungarian Cowboy.
“Robert Kluka was a true cowboy”, stated Frankie Lopinto of the Amite Livestock
Company. Robert worked for many years in the industry for both the current owners and former
owner, Jim Dyer. He was from Livingston
Parish, but was involved with the livestock industry and rodeo’s all over south Louisiana. Robert was a family man,
who loved life and loved being around people. His heart was in working with animals and he
was the best around at what he did. If a person had an animal that they needed rounding up and
was hard to get, Robert was on call to come to the rescue. He would get together with some assistants
and his horse and off he went. Usually working with some trusty dogs – it was always said, that Robert could
take care of business.
Robert was known as “The Hungarian Cowboy”, with this title being advertised on his truck.
Robert battled with illness and eventually passed away doing what he loved most, working in
the field and being close to nature.
A friend, family man, hard worker and a true “Hungarian Cowboy”.
